Review

It’s no surprise that this album is going to have its fair share of lovers and haters alike. There has been much hype surrounding this album’s release since it was first spoken of about by Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke in an exclusive Thronebuzz (previously Thronemag) phone interview from prison with @RickyDiaz back in November of 2009.

This eleven-track lyrical roller-coaster ride has you enjoying the new sound while keeping you excited about what is to come after pressing that ‘next song’ button. Although many may be expecting a more rough and tough, jagged and jaded Ronnie, I think you’ll all happily trade it in for the new more up-beat tunes. Accompanying the high energy, fun, up-beat lyrics of Ronnie Radke are heavy, razor sharp guitar solos by Jacky Vincent and Derek Jones, complimented by the mind-boggling bass rhythm of Mika Kazuo Horiuchi, which is stitched together with the head-bopping, finger-tapping drums of Ryan Seamen, all make you want to press rewind more than once.

Personal Favorite: Track #5: Good Girls Bad Guys

With more than a few retaliation oriented innuendo-laced lyrics, this album is sure to stir up just a few more rumors, haters and lovers. Some of the lyrics leave us wondering who they are directed towards. Some may argue to the death that certain songs on this album are a direct dig at the members of Ronnie’s former band Escape The Fate, or maybe argue that they are simply words put to a tune. However, some lyrics are spelled out pretty clear, like the lyrics of the album’s second track, ‘Tragic Magic’,

I dug a whole ten miles wide, so i can throw all of you inside… You’re such a dumb f***, you need to shut up, you bring a picture of me every time you get your hair cut. Imposter!

Either way, its been expected and even admitted countless times by Ronnie Radke himself that this album will be a form of revenge to the members of Escape The Fate. According to Escape The Fate bassist, Max Green in an exclusive Thronebuzz Interview, the two have made peace since Ronnie’s release. Let’s hope that this album will be interpreted by the masses as a piece for the fans and not as a metaphorical fuel to be added to an already embering fire.

The beginning of the last track on the album, ‘The Westerner’, gives off a familiar basis for a song similar to that of ‘the Day I Left The Womb.’ Some of you may remember the lyrics to this track which were first spoke of by Ronnie himself in our 2009 prison interview together.

…I’ve been beaten, I’ve been bruised, I was left for dead as well, I was wrongfully accused, You left me locked inside a cell. I’ve been cheated, I’ve been sued, but I have lived to tell…The more you kick me when I’m down, The more it truly helps.
