Get your 3D specs at the ready…
Katy Perry might be getting her own 3D movie!
Yep, that is right; the feisty female has gone all Justin Bieber on us as she is the latest singer in line to almost be bagging her own music documentary.

3D music movies are not unusual these days. However, some become a hit while others fail miserably, for example, does anyone remember that Glee released a 3D movie last year?
However, Paramount may have hit the jackpot with Katy Perry:
- Her recent split with Russell Brand has launched her back into the limelight.
- It will grab the attention of kids, teens and woman (some men too) who want to watch the diva flaunt her stuff.
- Her concerts are as colourful as her dress sense so it will be a gorgeous and extravagant display.
- Everyone on the face of the planet wants to be a popstar and this is a sneaky insight into one of the biggest popstar’s of the decade.
- Who doesn’t want to pretend that they’re at a Katy concert singing (screaming) away to some of the biggest songs on the Billboard charts?
- Reasons 1 – 5 = money, money, money!
Nothing is official yet, but Paramount is in talks with the newly bright blue haired babe to be the star of her own movie. It is believed that Imagine Entertainment will produce it but there is no hint of a director just yet.
Music movies are an easy way to make some quick dosh. In 2009 Sony got lucky with Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” which grossed a staggering $261.2 million and the much hyped Bieber film “Never Say Never” gained $73 million for Paramount.
There’s no doubt that a Katy movie will be highly entertaining, giving us a glimpse into the singers dramatic life and following her backstage dilemmas. So we’ll just have to wait and see if Katy is capable of becoming a 3D sensation…
Amidst all this Katy business there is only one crucial question on our lips: will Rebecca Black make a special appearance?
